Modular Buildings Donated to Crisis Hit Nations
The donation of modular buildings by a Dubai firm provide shelter to the people in disaster-hit countries all over the world.
The Drydocks World Group, Dubai, the region’s largest ship repair company, donated 30 portable cabins and 60 air conditioning units to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment on April 26, 2010. They will be used as mobile offices or as temporary housing for people in as part of its international relief work.
“The Establishment is appreciative of support from corporations based in Dubai and always welcomes contributions from them. The portable cabins donated by Drydocks World, Dubai can be used as portable mobile offices or as temporary housing for people in crisis struck nations, as part of our international relief programs. We are thankful for the company’s support.” Mr. Saleh Zahir Saleh said.
The Charity Establishment’s creditable work has made tremendous impact on the social wellbeing and development of the underprivileged in the UAE and abroad. Drydocks World is committed to establishing stronger ties with local and international community it operates in, and also extending support to the underprivileged. Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment organization was formed in 1997 and helps needy people in the UAE and around the world, including financial assistance to families. It also builds and maintains houses, finances charitable projects for education and health fields and builds mosques. It also provides relief in disaster-stricken areas, and recently provided food and medical aid to victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
